That confidence is reflected in Adria's 10-year Water Ingress Warranty — a warranty which, subject to its terms and servicing requirements, can follow the caravan to a subsequent owner.
What makes caravan construction so important?
A caravan body has a surprisingly difficult job. It needs to remain relatively light enough to tow while coping with road vibration, twisting forces, changing temperatures, rain, moisture and years of repeated use.
That is why construction matters long after the excitement of choosing a layout or upholstery has passed. The way the walls, floor, roof, joints, insulation and exterior skin work together helps determine how well a caravan performs throughout its life.
Adria has built its reputation around considering those elements as one complete structure rather than treating the body simply as a box fitted onto a chassis.
The precise construction varies between Adria ranges, because different caravans have different priorities. A lightweight Altea, compact Action, premium Adora and all-season Alpina do not necessarily need exactly the same material recipe.

Body panels, reinforcement and supporting profiles are designed to create a strong integrated shell capable of coping with the forces generated during towing and use.
Moisture resistance
GRP/GFK, polyester layers, polymer components and sealing systems are used strategically throughout current Adria construction to help manage exposure to moisture.
Insulation
EPS or XPS insulation materials are used according to model and construction, helping create a comfortable internal environment without unnecessary weight.

Caravan construction always involves balancing strength against weight. Materials are selected according to the role each model is designed to perform.

Rather than suggesting every model is built identically, it is more useful to look at how construction is tailored to the job each caravan is designed to do.

The latest Action uses a GFK body with XPS material around window areas, composite slats within the body and floor, plus an XPS floor core with a polyester layer.
A lightweight approach to modern touring.
Altea's current generation uses construction including Symalite® and solid thermoplastic panels, together with a smooth GRP exterior body designed to combine practicality with lower weight.
Added reinforcement beneath the familiar shape.
Adora's GFK body is enhanced with composite slats in the walls, PVC reinforcement around window areas and stronger XPS roof and floor cores with a polyester layer.
Adria's Comprex construction.
Alpina uses Adria's Comprex body construction, combining materials selected for structural strength, durability and resistance to moisture as part of its all-season touring approach.
Why we say Adria backs the caravan, not simply the first owner.
Adria's 10-year Water Ingress Warranty begins from the vehicle's original purchase date. Crucially, the remaining qualifying cover is transferable to subsequent owners.
In other words, selling the caravan does not automatically mean its remaining water ingress cover disappears with the original purchaser.
That distinction matters because a well-maintained caravan may pass through several owners during its life. Subject to Adria's terms, servicing and transfer procedure, the warranty is capable of staying with the vehicle.

Caravan first registered
The warranty period starts from the vehicle's original registration/purchase date.

Once the required conditions are met, eligible remaining cover stays with the caravan.

It is worth being precise here. Adria provides two different main warranty periods on a new leisure vehicle.
Water Ingress Warranty
Covers qualifying structural degradation to the bodyshell arising from water ingress through permanently sealed seams or joints, subject to Adria's warranty conditions and exclusions.
Manufacturer's Warranty
The general manufacturer's warranty covers qualifying manufacturing faults affecting the vehicle's original specification for the stated warranty period.

The benefit isn't only relevant if something goes wrong. It can also influence the story of the caravan throughout its ownership.

The 10-year Water Ingress Warranty is conditional. Adria requires annual servicing and inspection, including a moisture survey. The company's current UK terms also require a subsequent owner to arrange transfer of the unexpired warranty within three months of taking ownership and provide the required evidence of purchase and annual servicing.
